Of course there are 'bad" cops- just as there are bad doctors, bad politicians, bad businessman.......bad in performance and bad in honesty and morals.  The murder rate has skyrocketed under the "don't snitch" mentality of the inner city. Cops have a VERY tough job- and it is made tougher by the thug mentality that exists today. For the most part- and I mean 99.9% of the time- police officers do great and underappreciated work.
