If you have visited a MCS school you'd understand. Your child or not even a teacher can explain what you can see with your own eyes everyday. yes there is a reason these laws are enforced but the reason isn't the purpose anymore-that's what im sayn. its not about the rate of education and dropout anymore as it should be or that youre using your phone at an unappropriate timing, its now all about it just being rules.the emphasis isn't expressed on why the rules are in place. The uniform was designed to cut focus off apparel and turn it to the books. Have you seen our test scores as a whole? Do you believe your child isn't a victim of bullying because of the uniform policy- I hope not. NO matter what rule is put in place, there is always a loop hole. the cell phones arent allowd because they are a distraction and are involved in many incidents but even those without cell phones still have ways to get drugs and start commotion without a cell phone. So now those who cant afford uniforms to wash out a shirt and pants are turned around at the door-no iss or detention-just home. and children who know not to use their phones have to pay for those who didnt and in the end all the dirt is still being done and the ones who are well behaived are the only ones that suffer.

As a student in the Memphis City Schools system, I know first hand what it's like to go to school everyday. First we had the surplus deal which has forced many classes to coalesce. There isn't much room to fit extra desks but we have no choice. It seems we are in prison. We have to wear name tags that identify everything about us. As the uniform policy goes, it has come to a conclusion that the uniforms aren't in any way cheaper than regular clothing. In fact, it's sometimes more expensive and it puts dents in family's pockets that have to buy regular clothing, dress clothes and uniform. The policy was intentionally made to help those who can't afford uniform, but now the prices of everything is the same. Mr. Cash has strict rules such as having women officers come and check girls who put phones in their bra. My thing is, if the phone is not visible or a nuncance to anyone then why is it such a problem?

I love watching fox 13 over any station of news. However, I feel that the way the newscast adds on words is not a good example at all. I am only seventeen and it hurts my ears when I hear the morning crew calling the people of topic 'thugs' and morons. I understand that they have done wrong in the world but why should the team with so many emmy awards have to use such unprofessional terms. I feel that the news should just be delivered and no extras. It's not a problem to have fun but addin on their personal thoughts are wrong. I hope one day they realize this and do better.
