Now i want to say that i agree 100% with putting punishment besides suspensions in the schools. When a student is suspended it's because they can't be punished. This is just another issue of attendance that can be avoided. if there are problems going on in the school children need to know that the people that are responsible for them for seven hours five days a week can punish them. if kids feel that only their guardians can discipline them, they will misbehaive where ever they go. When i was in middle school we had punishment by the principle and i can say that we rarely had many problems. Now my younger brother attends the same school and they have been featured on the news alot just because the students feel they dont have to respect their teachers. Putting corporal punishment back in the schools will discipline alot of students. The younger they are the better time it is to teach them that they will be punished for being a problem.

I love watching fox 13 over any station of news. However, I feel that the way the newscast adds on words is not a good example at all. I am only seventeen and it hurts my ears when I hear the morning crew calling the people of topic 'thugs' and morons. I understand that they have done wrong in the world but why should the team with so many emmy awards have to use such unprofessional terms. I feel that the news should just be delivered and no extras. It's not a problem to have fun but addin on their personal thoughts are wrong. I hope one day they realize this and do better.

i have attended MCS since i was able to be enrolled. the new uniform policy was first installed when i started my sixth grade year. no change has happened. although some of the academic level has escalated, the crime rate has also. kids still find ways to bully or show off their gang material.no matter what measures teachers and boardmembers take, nothing is going to change. the media is influencing the way some teens think and respond to the world.
