Shante,I have the right to express my opinion.  It is my right as an american citizen.  I am not just going to say something just to be popular.  What I said was in my opinion the truth.  In the last 17yrs the city of memphis has just gotten worse.  And it is his place to make sure that the city as a whole runs correctly.  If he would keep his hand out of the citys cookie jar and stop sharing with just his friend and give it to the city where the city NEEDS it and not in the pockets of his friends and himself, the city would be a much better place.  Now, if that is being hard on willie then maybe he should look at himself and be harder on himself.  The city of memphis needs someone who is going to do what is right for the whole city NOT just him or herself and their friends!

YEs, you have a right to your opinion but judge ye not. Herenton may be a winner now but her will pay later because there is a higher power.

whatever you think what you want. if i am judging i guess we will both go to hell because it is wrong to knowingly screw this many people out of the things he has screwed memphis out of. and if i am in the wrong he is too. so whatever! i dont go around screwing people, i help everybody i can even if i put myself in debt doing it. he helps himself and puts everyone in memphis in debt doing it. so who is worse here?

Messing with people minds is one way the mayor gets his pleasure and revenge all at the same time. He does and says things to keep people upset so he will be the center of this city's attention. That's a person with problems. He has to have the attention to exist. His so called resignation & school superintendent job
notion, that's all a game to him. His manipulation to get what he wants. Glad that most on the school board did not buy that baloney. He suggests cuts to save money(school administration,libraries, community centers) then why doesn't he apply the same to his own administration which is filled with his cronies.
He's made sure that they all have most of the pie in this city while citizens suffer!

i totally agree. it is people like him that are making this city totally unbarable to live in. we are even thinking of moving. my kids are afraid to sleep at night because of all the crime and things that are supposed to make school fun for kids just keep getting cut to make his and his buddies walletts bigger. i am sure i can find a better city to raise my kids in or around. nice to know i am not the only person in this area who feel the same way.
