Foo Fighters Blast John McCain For Using Their Song
In a story that sounds all too familiar, John McCain has once again angered a group of musicians for his unauthorized use of their music. This time, it’s the Foo Fighters.
The band revealed in a statement how upset they are that John McCain has been using their 1997 hit "My Hero" as his current campaign theme song.
The band writes, "This isn't the first
time the McCain campaign has used a song without making any attempt to
get approval or permission from the artist. It's frustrating and
infuriating that someone who claims to speak for the American people
would repeatedly show such little respect for creativity and
intellectual property."
They also add, "The
saddest thing about this is that 'My Hero' was written as a celebration
of the common man and his extraordinary potential. To have it
appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts
the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song. We hope
that the McCain campaign will do the right thing and stop using our
song — and start asking artists' permission in general."
This isn’t the first time Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain has found himself in trouble for unauthorized use of music. McCain has also angered bands Van Halen and Heart for his use of their songs "Right Now" and "Barracuda", respectively.
The Foo Fighters made headlines in 2004 for their support of Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry. The title of their 2005 record, In Your Honor,
was reportedly inspired by the experience. The band’s website currently
features a note urging people to vote in the coming election in
November.
The band is currently taking a "long break" from touring and recording music and hope to return eventually with a new sense of being.
Any moron "easy speaking" would know to ask for permission to use a bands song, Com'on McCain do the right thing and not just take a Bands music even if it sounds good to yeah. They may be for yeah, but still ask first! Just sayin,

Did anyone of the bloggers see the Fox 13's Party Dance this morning? If you missed it, OH they were hilarious! Darcy I know can dance, and that Leon, Oh my! he was breakin it down. Then we get to Tom and Derek, LOLOL those two were Riding that train, My question is where was Ernie?? I know he has some moves, but he was in hiding.
You never know what to expect while watching the Morning crew.

Are you kiddin me?!! I think every thing about this is BULL!!, Ok if
Elvis/Jessie is still alive, My best Guess would be EVERYONE would know it, No
way he could hide out for so long and not anyone that is "Supposed to be around

to her family and thats all, WOW! I guess she may think if she is around them

"She testified she would be interested in sharing any money that might be left
in the estate, but that her main goal is to be legally declared the daughter of
Vernon Presley.""

Ernie Freeman, I had to laugh every time you said "My Friend" to your
co-workers this morning, I think Val did not get it the first time you called
her that, lol She was like HUH? I lost count on how many time you said "My
Friend" when I had to take kids to school.
Anyways,
What does McCain want to accomplish by calling people "my friends"? I
guess it is a political approach? He must have said it at least 15 times. I AM NOT
YOUR FRIEND! Until I have had many conversations with a him/person(s) . The day I call McCain up to invite him over for dinner, then I
might consider him my friend, same with Obama.
Oh and don't forget that McCain called Obama "That One" while Obama was
polite and called McCain "Senator McCain."

OK! To all you people, like I have said I had no idea who I want'a to vote for, Read this or not, comment or not, don't matter to me because I am saying just what I feel now.
Obama came out with flying colors and ended with flying colors. Nothing against ANY of my BLOG FRIENDS but My thinking is that McCain talked more about his self and the war because Obama had not been in a war. But I also agree with Obama on the war with who??? Iran or Pakastan? We have more of our men an women in Iran than Pakastan, like our blogger Tranell said, they cannot find that Brotha"her spellin"?. I have said many years, Why not guard our boarders, which we are doing, but if we had all our men an women here at home we could do a better job. Yea keep all transprotaion and all not slip through without a trace. LOOK at all that has been killed and will continue to be killed, those STUPID arse people in Iran an Afg. will do nothing but kill, they areBORN an RAISED to KILL. Obama did agree with alot of McCains statments BUT you never saw McCain look at Obama ONCE! McCain was sooooo stuck in the past. I did have a blog up and I said who can you trust, and I said not RUSSIA, just as Obama, WOW!! But McCain thinks different because of the pipe lines........................

I did the test, after I was done, see I told everyone I was not sure who I liked, but my results showed that I was for Obama on some and McCain on some, I ended up with

Mary Winkler has been granted full custody of her 3 daughters, Humm so Do you agree that she should have them or not?? I personally don't see a thing wrong with her having the kids back. But I am sure there are many others think she should not and she should still be locked up for killing her husband that abused her during part of the marriage.

Jurors at the trial of OJ Simpson heard a recording of a police
employee claiming officers could finally "get" the American football
star.
The comment, which referred to Simpson's murder acquittal
following a trial in 1995, was made as police examined a hotel room

and kidnap.
A digital recorder, which had been secretly placed in

I am watching this and they are really letting us hear some raw taping , they have even went back as far as the killings of his wife and the Bronco. The Bronco was sold for 75,000.00 and is in storage. Very interesting to hear all this. Will he prevail and win this go around with the robbery or are they going to do all they can to get him behind bars??

Tom this has nothing to do with traffic, I just had to tell you about my drive by I do on the way to pick up kids from school. We have a Golf Course on my way to school, I keep looking for Steve Dawson since I hear he lives in Oakland and Leon playing Golf, but anyways I try to catch the golfers while fixing to smack the ball, I do time it just right while they are ready to swing, I blow my horn, HA! I have the others that are standing and waiting for their turn to turn around and wave while the one hitting the ball either stops in the middle of the swing or shakes his club at me. HAHA!! I find this pretty funny everyday, I am afraid that they are going to start timing me and try to hit my truck. But so far all in fun:):)
