I can honestly say that when I blogged about the Michael Vick incident I now realized that I made lite of the situation and didn't fully understand how pet owners could love their animals the way they do. My mother lost her dogs on yesterday in a very horrific way, They were shot and killed by a Memphis police officer. My mom has two American bulldogs a male and a female I must admit the male dog Reno is very intimidating he has cropped ears and tail and weighs about 120 pounds, but the female dog Lady is just the sweetest dog ever and so is Reno but he is very territorial and he must know you before you step foot on her property. Apparently a neighbor called the police to report that the dogs were loose well needless to say the officer tried to capture Lady and she bit him so he shot her when Reno saw Lady laying on the ground he ran and lunged at the officer so he shot Reno in the neck. My mother who was just getting home from work noticed that police cars were all around her house and that's when she was told so rudely that her dogs had been shot because they were too aggressive and he thought that they were pit bulls. I have never seen my mom in this much pain it's as if one of her children had been shot she told me that she has had them since they were babies, feed them, made sure that they went to the doctor, nurtured them and love them, so therefore they were her children.Personally I believe that the handling of this incident was improper and I am going to look deep into exactly what happened cause I didn't know that police officers go out and try to catch animals I thought they left that up to the animal control. It's a situation where only a pet owner could understand the full magnitude in which my mom is now hurting. But I can now say that I understand.

As I sit back and reminisce of how the Memphis Tigers brought everyone together and how wonderful it felt not to think about racism, corrupt politics, how many people disagree with the Mayor becoming superintendent and all the crime that has plagued or city well I guess that wonderful feeling is gone. It bothers me tremendously that when I read other blogs,I can't understand for the life of me why we can't agree to disagree I'm talking about Circleoffaith's blog I felt as though some of the responses were attacks rather than opinions WHATS WRONG PEOPLE you can't make a person feel the way you feel, you can't make a person agree with everything that you agree on, you can't make a person see the way you see so why can't we agree to disagree like sensible, understanding adults. I have always stated that if you don't understand what a person is going through or you have never been where that person has been don't tell someone to get over something try to understand put yourself in that person's shoes for a moment and have some compassion for others. Being adults we always say that the children need to be taught and they need good examples but it's the other way around the adults need teaching. We are so worried about people preaching hate when some of you bloggers have that same hate when others don't agree with you. STOP IT.............. When you feel like saying something hurtful don't even comment on the blog, we are not always going to agree with each other but there are ways to be respectful about it and still voice your opinion some of yall act like children, Grow up for God's sake I guarantee half of yall don't even have a relationship with God so don't tell someone how to preach if you feel that Rev.Wright is wrong pray for him and then pray for yourself if you feel any hard feelings about him. Whats wrong with us!!!!!!!

I would like to personally thank the Memphis Tigers for an unforgettable season for once here in Memphis I don't remember hearing anything negative on the news on Monday it was all about the tigers I felt good on the inside to see all the people here and Memphis come together in support of our Tigers it wasn't about color it wasn't about being male or female and it wasn't about which neighborhood you were from.
It was all about the U of M Tigers basketball team. This team has shed a positive light on the city of Memphis and that was a great great feeling, You guys have took something that's universal to everyone and that's the love of basketball and brought us together. To coach Calipari we love you for the great job on how you got these young men to believe and it was our time. Coach Cal I love your style of coaching and I think you are one of the realist coaches in college basketball,I love when the press interview you because I know your going to give it to us straight. So to the University of Memphis basketball team thank you for a great season but most of all thank you for bringing us together.

I recently blog about my nephew Cordero who is a senior at Mitchell High School graduating third in his class well I recently got news from my nephew that at his graduation he is only allowed to have eight guest for his big day and I am very hurt because my family and I won't be able to attend mind you I helped raise that young man when he was a baby so he is more like a son then a nephew. I don't understand for the life of me why we can't use the Pyramid or the Midsouth Coliseum for graduations or why can't schools simply use their gym to accommodate the graduates families some children have large families and we all want to take part in this milestone in their lives. Those buildings are just sitting there taking up space with no decisions on what to do with these useless buildings. I think that this is very unfair to the families and to the children who are graduating who want their families to be apart of their big day. Memphis City school system and the city of Memphis are such a major disappointment!

What does the comments of Mr.Jeramiah Wright have to do with Barack Obama in my opinion absolutely nothing, I don't always agree with everything my pastor say and neither do I always agree with every pastor I listen to say but it is what it is those are simply his comments Mr.Wright that is, if you are simply judging Barack Obama on the comments of another man then you never liked him in the first place we are some two faced Americans that always have an opinion on everything and everybody we want what we want when we want it his comments are his comments and his opinions are just like mine on this blog why do we allow the smallest little thing to just put us in the mode of America the great how dare we say things like that against the great and almighty America. When America has always turned it's back on their own if he wants to talk about America.. this is America isn't it, then he can say what he wants. I don't see anybody writing blogs about what Barbara Bush said about the people of New Orleans isn't she in America. The truth be told a lot of people feel that way but they won't admit it. Just like some people feel like Don Imus had a right to say what he said well I got news for a lot of people you should attend more black churches and you might hear the same thing here in Memphis yea I said it, think about it, process it, and blow it out. Cause it aint dat serious!!!!!!!!!! Well I guess the people in America feel Mr.Wright has done America wrong by his insensitive comments and letting America down, so I guess this is how God feels when America turns it's back on him.

Some of you may or may not know the rapper Juvenile formally of the New Orleans rap group the Hot boys other members include Lil Wayne and Baby who are more popular but the rapper Turk you may remember was arrested in Memphis on gun charges. Well Juvenile's daughter along with her mother and another sibling were killed by their brother. Here is the story.ATLANTA — The rap star Juvenile is "shocked and devastated" by the
shooting death of his young daughter, the girl's mother and another
child, his manager said Saturday.
The 32-year-old rapper is still trying to cope with the death of
4-year-old Jelani; her mother, 39-year-old Joy Deleston; and the
woman's daughter Micaiah, 11, whose bodies were found Thursday night in
their home, said manager Aubrey Francis.
"It really
shocked him and devastated him to the point where I've never seen him
before," Francis said. "Right now he is relaxing and trying to grasp
everything of what has happened."
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. is being held in
the DeKalb County jail, charged in the deaths of his mother _ a
Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy _ and siblings at the home near
Lawrenceville, outside Atlanta. He was arrested Friday.
Deleston brought a paternity lawsuit in 2004, claiming that
Juvenile, whose real name is Terius Gray, was Jelani's father, Gwinnett
County court records show. Both parties later agreed Juvenile was the
father.
Juvenile, who is in New Orleans, had been making regular child support payments, Francis said.
In 1998, Juvenile released his third album, "400 Degreez," which
sold 4 million copies. At one time he was part of the four-man group
The Hotboyz, along with Lil Wayne, Young Turk and B.G.
Attorney Randy Kessler, who represented Juvenile in the paternity
suit, said Saturday he had not talked with the rapper about the
killings.
"Any time you have a situation like that, it's shocking," Kessler said.
Terrell was taken to jail in neighboring DeKalb County to avoid any
potential conflict because Deleston worked for Gwinnett County, said
Lawrenceville police spokeswoman Illana Spellman. She could not confirm
Friday whether Deleston's service weapon was used.
Because of his age, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty
against Terrell. A preliminary hearing will be set next week in
Gwinnett County Superior Court, prosecutor Danny Porter said.
Defense attorney Lyle Porter did not return calls Friday and Saturday.

If
ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!!!! This seems a small thing to

The Memphis Tigers started off with a rough start this season and it wasn't looking pretty I never thought that at the beginning of the season we would be bowl eligible but the tigers fought hard and became bowl eligible despite their hearts being heavy with dealing with the murder of Taylor Bradford the Tigers stayed focused played hard and they wanted to win for Taylor and what a great job they did they didn't win their bowl game but I for one was very proud of them for being so tough playing as a team and keeping Taylor in their hearts. So what they didnt win but they showed me that not only are they winners in my book but they are winners in life as well to be able to continue on and fight and work hard with dealing with what the tiger players had on their plates they are more than winners they are conquerors .Great Job Tigers I will never forget this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been seeing a lot of children running across traffic as if their legs are fast enough to compete with a car. I was on Mt.Moriah near Colonial Middle and I travel that way everyday picking my daughter up from school and everyday there children are running across traffic in a hurry with no regards to being hit by a car I think they must be hungry or something because they are racing to get to the Mickie D's there on the corner at colonial or it could be a hang out spot for the middle school children. But these kids need a crash course in jay running before someone gets seriously hurt. Tom get on it

I really need help on this on because I am really upset to the point where I could commit a crime. Here's what happened my son and two of his friends were leaving a basketball game while they were walking they started talking with a friend of theirs who is a cheerleader for their basketball team. One of the young men started playing and teasing with this young lady nothing violent just teasing and this young lady is there friend of course, Well the mother didn't appreciate them teasing her daughter and she didn't know who was actually doing the teasing so she just assumed that it was my son so she proceeded to yell at my son, and he told her that "It wasn't me" and she still continued to yell and curse him out and then said that if he didn't stop she was going to call the police. And one of the young men said to her that "If you call the police I aint going to jail so she turned around thinking that my son was the one who said this to her and she grabbed him and choked him. While she was choking him he was trying to tell her that it wasn't him but she didn't care still cursing at him saying that she would kill him if he ever tried to talk to her daughter again and that her daughter isn't dating anyone. My son came home literally shaking while telling me what happened. I made a few calls and received this parents phone number to discuss what had happened because I wanted to get her side of what happened cause I know that children tend to exaggerate, but he wasn't when I spoke with this person she proceeded to tell me what happened and she said yes I did choked him because he thought I was playing with him. I remained calm and ask her if she felt her daughter was being threaten then she should have called the police. Well she then said she wasn't going to call anyone "I was going to choke his a** out is what she said"and then the conversation got very very ugly. This lady has bragged about what she has done and I am hurt as a parent and a human being.
After investigating the matter and speaking with the other young men involved my son was not the one who was teasing the girl after all. The principal investigated the matter and also found out that it was one of my son's friend who was teasing she admitted to the principal that she choked my son and was not apologetic about choking him. It is taking every part of my being not to get money out of my savings so that my husband will have it ready to make my bond. What is wrong with this lady, I have never ever hit someone Else's child or choked someone. It has taken me 4 days to try to calm down and I still have not calmed down because I don't understand for the life of me why you would choke a child and abuse them please pray for me bloggers because I truly don't understand. WHY!!!!! I have lost all hope for parents today when you can't sit down and discuss matters like adults but resorting to choking a child because you felt it was the right thing to do. I am so hurt I haven't been able to sleep at night thinking about this issue and know that my son was scared.

If a child can understand this why can't the adults..........
WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :
New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !
Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
