Maybe I am missing the connection here. Does Pau have someone working in the newsroom? I know that his contract with the Grizzlies has ended, but did he sign another contract with Fox 13? Pau Gasol added 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. So what! You know, I could take it better if you at least spread it around some. Can we here what James Posey is doing in Boston, they beat Atlanta. What about Bonzi Wells in New Orleans, they happen to beat Dallas. Better yet, how about you just let the guys at ESPN and NBA TV take care of all the stats, a least they will spread all the glory.

Didn't we just do this on your last blog?

I haven't shown a Pau Gasol highlight since the playoffs started-- not because I wouldn't, because I do feel there are still plenty of fans who are interested in how he's doing-- I only haven't because their games are always on late.

Lets be honest, and I know you won't like it- but there is still a strong interest in Pau here in town. Many fans, like you, are not fans of his game. However, there are plenty that are.

I also have no problem showing Bonzi, or Posey or any other former Grizz still playing-- that's how we try to "localize" the story we're giving you. I may even squeeze in a Posey highlight tonight...

But to compare Posey's impact in Memphis, or even Bonzi's to Pau's is crazy.

Pau was a cornerstone of the franchise, an Orginial Grizzly who was/is the focal point of a trade that most Grizzlies fans felt was a blatant rip-off. Posey and Bonzi were journeymen players who came and left like many others did before and have since...

Hey Matt, I dont have a problem with the highlights its the ticker on Good Morning Memphis. The highlights on your sports news cast no problem, hey they are in the playoffs, yes all the teams deserve some spotlight. Matt, I'm even a fan of your news cast, but if you were to get a better opportunity in Baltimore or Los Angeles should I expect to see on the ticker of Good Morning Memphis, "Former sports announcer Matt Starks delivered an excellent sports report last night on Fox affiliate KTTV in Los Angeles, no stumbling of words just good, clear, precise newscasting" Anyway Matt, thanks for responding and by the way keep up the good work.
