A friend watched me make breakfast this weekend and commented about how hot the food was, as if it should not be hot.  It was grits, eggs and bacon.  When I make this dish (my favorite of all time, by the way) I time the cooking of all the elements, so that I put it all on the plate while it's steaming hot and I can begin eating immediately.  I know some "room temperature" people when it comes to eating hot foods.  They don't mind, and often prefer eating food at room temperature.  Is it a boy versus thing?  Are you a hot food hot person?  Talk to me.

While I am thinking about it, you know what you all need to add on to your sections of blog categories?? You need a food blog section, that way we can share our recipes, you know we all want that Mac-N- Cheese recipe of yours, lol, but really I think this would be a good thing, I would love to get ideas from others, and plus there would be no arguing over any blog , unless one recipe is supposed to be better than the other, Then all we can do is try it out for our selfs . What you Think???

My food has to be hot. I time everything just right when I am cooking too. I'm lowering the heat here and raising the heat there, sticking this in the oven so everything can be hot. All I need is a chef hat. lol

mmmm eggs and bacon...
I;m definately a fan of hot food, temp wise and spicy. I think a food blog would be awesome, I have at most one recipe... I'm not a cooker,... but that's because I don't have recipes... and ovens don't like me

I love my food hot!! Temp and spicy...
Everytime I cook everyone wants to wait till it cools down. Whats up with that? Why do I cook if everyone wants room temp food? Why not have a sandwich!
And whats up with hot stuff served cold?
Like chilled soup or iced coffee....
Well iced coffee i guess is ok, but cold soup, YUCK!

Ernie

We need a food/recipe blog on here so we all can compare/share recipes and other food ideas. Everyone is always looking for different food ideas and with such a diverse audience that has been captured by the Fox13 blog’s I think it would go over well. Do you think there is a snowballs chance that this could come to be?

I don't have many recepies, but I am willing to share what I have, with one lone exception...the Mac and Cheese. No Ernie Mac secrets for you guys. Sorry Charlie. But I have a good feeling about the food blog, if we can show some interest with "lots" of people weighing in here. Will need more than the numbers we're showing here so far. I personally think the food blog has the potential to be the best blog on the site.

Co-Host of the Emmy Award winning Good Morning Memphis on Fox-13, and a member of the Fox-13 News I-Team, I also make the best mac and cheese in the world. Just ask Valerie Calhoun. After an 18 month layoff, I resumed my golfing pursuits April 26th, 2008. I think I'm going to resume saying, "it is what it is." If I'm hanging out in Memphis I'm at Onix on Main Street and EP's Delta Kitchen on Beale Street. If you have a cell phone, I will send this text message: How about those New York Football Giants! all year long. I recently stopped drinking coffee, and life without it is fine.
