I was going down Whitten Rd. @ the interstate today and there was an 18 wheeler in front of us, all of sudden his trailer comes loose and comes to a grinding halt but he keeps going a few feet. Fortunately nobody was injured but just think what could have happened if he was going faster or if he was driving down the interstate.

Tell me, some of you expert BIG riggers, how can that happen?

Here's a question from the new driver's license test.............

You are driving in a car at a constant speed.      There are so many things that don't make sense to me on the roadway at All....I-55 (Where it comes in from Southaven) and then Connects to I-240 East Bound. We're out driving around in that mess every morning, and it's just a big Clogged Artery.

     It goes from about four lanes down to one in a curve, then goes to two lanes and back into four where people can't figure out to merge, it's mind boggling.

I just don't get what the problem is with the Flyover and the roadway that leads up to it...I-40, if you are inbound from Germantown road and beyond is just a nightmare in the morning between 6:30 and 8:30, people are just all over the road, running each other off the road, cutting in front of each other, and driving on the shoulder. Add to all that the fact that traffic is just backed up for as far as the eye can see. Why is that, was it bad engineering where I-40 merges into the loop beyond Sycamore View?

Thurday, October 30, at 6:50 a red truck pulled over in front of me on Front Street to turn on Jefferson.  Yep the driver  was on the phone. As I turned on Jefferson behind him, could her the ALERTS indicating the TROLLEY was coming.

The light ahead was RED (Riverside Drive).  The driver stop his PICK-UP on the Trolley's tracks!  My first thought, that what he gets for jumping in front of me.   After a second thought, somebody could get hurt if I do nothing. I began to blow my horn.  The driver did not move! I had left enough space for the driver to reverse, the traffic light was red.

Traffic was  moving on both side of Riverside. The driver went thru the red light just as the safety gates were coming down!  Excuse me while I took my "BLOOD PRESSURE Medicine.

So i'm riding down Stage Rd. when I hear the sound of tires burning rubber(got a lil bit closer it's a guy that just had to make a GREAT big U-Turn,to get to wherever it was he was going)people we are not on the set of(Fast and The Furious:Streets Of Memphis)

I know everybody is soooo tired of hearing about driving while on the phone...BUT you have to stayed tuned to this one.

While sitting at a very busy 4 way stop sign today total mayhem broke out. Nobody knew when to go, everybody was trying to go all at once. You say, "So what?" Well the funny thing was...everybody, all 3 drivers was on a cellphone! I kid you not.....total confusion. I thought I was going to have to get out and direct traffic b/c nobody was paying attention to who's turn it was, EXCEPT me of course. I have to admit that I'm no angel...I do occasionally but rarely accept a call, but I immediately hang up if it's not a 911.

...and to the guy in the drive-thru at the bank.......DON'T GET IN THE LINE UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR BUSINESS READY!!!! grrrrr

I HAVE A FRIEND WHO IS AN OTR TRUCK DRIVER AND THE OTHER DAY HE ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO GO TO TO THE YARD WITH HIM AND I DID.

ON THE WAY HE CONSTANTLY USING HIS CELL PHONE WHILE TRYING TO DRIVE HIS BIG RIG AT THE SAME TIME.

IT TAKES TWO HANDS TO DRIVE THIS RIG WHICH MEANS WHILE HE WAS TALKING WITH ONE HAND AND TURNING THE WHEEL AND SHIFTING GEARS WITH THE OTHER.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, WHEN I SAW HIM DOING THIS, I TIGHTENED MY SEATBELT AS FAR AS IT WOULD GO. I JUST KNEW WE WERE GOING TO CRASH INTO SOMETHING!!!

I have been so busy DANCING on CLOUD NINE over the gas prices I decide to come down to earth for a reality check.  My real issues have been driving while on the cell phone.   In light of all the media attention given Tamara Ford and now Janice Fullilove, driving under the influence of anything; pain killers, alcohol, drugs it's an ABSOLUTELY!  POSTIVELY! A DON"T DRIVE  ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 

These woman (Ford & Fullilove) were repeated OFFENDERS,! Obviously our Law Makers are not concern they continue to allow repeat offenders to go free after a pinch on the cheek. 

We as Citizen will have to take matters into our own hand.  If we know of a family member, co-workers, neighbor, friend who drives under the influences, do a Gober Pyle make a CItizen Arrest! The life you save may be your family member, your co-worker, your neighbor, I think you get the picture :)

 I know we're usually slammin' Memphis driver's, but I have a good report...this morning while taking my child to school an ambulance came thru the school zone and everybody pulled off to the side and they were able to maneuver through easily. This is when I'm proud to be a "Memphian!"

Let's Dance shout shaky your body down to the ground.....come on everybody work that body...........work that body.....dance...shout....these gas prices are making me think I can dance all night long...............HAY.........  I think this 50 plus body can do a Split........ouchhhhhh.........nope no splits.........Yes Sir...rrreeeeeeeee......em'  thar gas prices going down...............the Gas Station at .........Riverside and Carolina is $2.54 ...............hold on a mintues I need to do a little dance.....one more minutes .......I can feel the music in me I need to Bust a groove.............Here's the catch, the lines are always long, I tried for four days to fill up with gas........  Finally yesterday was my day October 21!  For $40, yes sir, $40 my baby (Ford Explorer) had a full belly......excuse me while I moon walk all the way to my full truck.......Sorry Professor Dees I just can't control my joy.........
