The family of Chris Carmicle went to retreive a car from the MPD impound lot. When they pulled the rear seats back they discovered a body in the trunk. It was later confirmed that the body found in the trunk was that of 32 year-old Chris Carmicle. He died from a single gun shot wound. Family members say that they had not seen him since November 18.
The car was impounded on November 21st and the family had just filed a missing person's report on Dec.3. They went to get the car yesterday, which was Sunday, Dec. 9. I could only imagine how they felt to discover the body of their loved one while picking up their vehicle. I'm trying to figure out how that man's body sat on that parking lot without anyone having knowledge that it was in the trunk. How are these cars inspected when they come on the MPD impound lot? A day or two might go by before they notice a body in the car. BUT ALMOST 18 DAYS!!! How could they not know a body was in that car? It doesn't matter if the family filed a missing persons report on Dec. 3.
What do you think about this?
Every since the election ,a lot of people (including myself) have been writing our opinions on how we felt about Mayor Herenton being re-elected. Regardless of how we feel, it's time to move on.
Let's start doing our part to better our communities. Let's help reduce criminal activity. Everyone has to get involved. I don't know all the solutons, but I know if we work together we could come up with wonderful ideas. I have no special training, but I am a concerned citizen. That is all we need, concerned citizens!!
Does anyone have any suggestions? What are little things we could do individually to make a big difference in our city? How could we draw our citizens of all races together to create unity so we can work together?
