Pensmoke's Views

I have to agree with 2 or 3 other blog writers on the site on the black and white thing. It's TIRED. I am so tired of every topic ending with "in black and white".  It just goes to show that everything revolves around RACE in Memphis. It's so tiresome sifting through all the same rah rah blah blah.  There is a large Asian population in Memphis. A large and continuously growing Mexican population as well as other Hispanic groups. There is a Native American population in Memphis. You blacks and whites are not all there is to Memphis. It's time to wake up and smell the diversity, people.

It's all been done before, Pensmoke. It's all been said before. That philosophy you believe in. That art you practice. The language you use. Already invented, the day YOU found it.
Every word you use was created by someone else.
Every thought you believe in was pioneered by somebody else. It's called culture. You. Like me are a beneficiary of it. What original principle are you working on? I bet you I can find a precedent. You think you have something that we ain't heard before? It has a cousin or a brother or a precedent?

Like I said.
Don't hate.
I wasn't trying to be original. I was trying to communicate a point. Posting a response on your Blog doesn't require originality. That's killing ants with a sledge hammer.
I think you got it.
It's called communication. Vernacular smooths the process. Because it is NOT original. There is a time & place for everything.

Lol alright man. I didn't expect some deep philisophical rant. I was just saying that "don't hate" is pretty much the Memphis motto these days.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a (real)hip hop artist, a Native, a father, and husband. I am a veteran/ survivor of Memphis and I care about the community. I wish Memphis could get out of it's 1950's mindstate and everybody would get past the primitive way of thinking and ignorant racism that cripples the city even today.
