Patch_W_Adams's St Louis Blog

by Patch_W_Adams from St Louis

Last Post 8 hours Ago

I am a Blogger based out of St. Louis.  I am posting this question on different Blogs in about 19 States so as to Gauge if indeed it is time again for the People to Form a Continental Congress.

The Government is Growing at an enormous rate, much larger than the Founding Fathers ever intended.   Individual Liberties and Freedoms have been under repeated attacks from the very Government sworn to protect them.  The politicians in Office appear to only take turns playing "King" in the White House while Ignoring the Outcries of their Bosses, we Citizens.

Is it time to Elect Delegations from the States to Discuss how to Return this Great Country to the Path of the Constitution?

So that this Great Nation of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

A PERFECT SUMMATIOIN OF WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY.

I really tried to find something in this that I did not agree with, but could not. Also, I felt that everything that is written in this supports my own view, that we need term limits and that includes both democrats and republicans. One term and they are out, they spend not one day in office running for re-election. Maybe then, decisions will be made based on what is good and right and the constitution. I hope we wake up before it is too late. Factual, Accurate, Truthful and Pitiful! Just plain pitiful.

RE-ELECT NOBODY! Worthy of your time and attention regardless of your Party Affiliation. 545 Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered why? If both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, why do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, then why do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices – 545 human beings out of the 300 million – are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this cou

this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank. I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce(loose term) a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is NOT THEIR FAULT. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 millio

300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of INCOMPETENCE AND IRRESPONSIBILITY. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ. If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are THEIR BOSSES – provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

CAN I GET AN AMEN!!!.

That's why the constitution was abolished. Congress is illegal and has been for some time.
This is a charade you are paying to keep in place, "false stability".

I posted this as a Question and It has Grown Some legs...considering I can only reach so many People on Fox. We are Currently Trying to get this Idea to the Reality Stage. There appears to be alot of upset and Depressed People who have had enough. Problem is only so many will act and try something before it's too late...if it isn't already.

It's never too late.
People have lost their relationship with the truth, reality, family, God, integrity, and their own country. As sad as that is, it can be fixed the instant they realize it is up to each one.

PAtch_W_Adams, what action are you proposing that people take who have had "enough?"

Bubbah, I don't think people have so much lost their relationship with the country, as much as they feel that the country has lost its relationship with them, much the same way that a cheating lover loses the trust of the one to whom he/she is betrothed. Trust of government as it exists today is hard to come by because of the inherent abuse of it by so many who have victimized the public they were sworn to serve.

I Currently am Trying to Organize with other Patriots a New Continental Congress. This Congress will be made up of Representatives from all of the States in the Union. They will be Elected from "chapters" of the Continental Congrees Organization. Anyone can Join that is the Lover of the United States and the Constitution. We are Still on the Ground Floor and are looking for Input and Citizens. We are all New to this, but we have had Enough!

I also Just posted on my St Louis Blog asking if we should not have a St. Louis Bulb Party to Protest the New Light Bulbs that were Mandated by the Government. We are all to Switch to these Bulbs in 6 years. I Suggest that those of Us in St. Louis take as many cases as we can get our Hands on and Throw them into the Mississippi River. Let the Government Fish out their **** Light Bulbs!

The People have had enough...and the Government is sooo Wrapped up in itself...it can't see what is happeneing...

Sorry left something out.

This Continental Congress will compile a List of Greivences to present to the Government for Redress. If they fail to act...then the Continental Congress will discuss what Actions may be neccessary to Return this Country to the Constitution....third party or something similar.

Clearly, part of that discussion must involve the interpretation of the Constitution, as that issue itself will fuel a huge debate. I'm intrigued!

Grace you have to remember that from 1774 to 1789 the Founders where Discussing what to include and how to word the Founding Documents. The Declaration and The Constitution. They were of Different Thoughts and varied Beliefs so what you read is what was agreed to. They did not write it so that only Lawyers could Decifer it. They wrote it so the Common Man could read it and Understand. The only Interpretation allowed under the Constitution is for the Supreme Court to Rule if a Law is Constitutional or not. Not to Rule what they "ment" in the Constitution. If people do not agree with the Constitution or Feel the Times call for other measures then they should Get an Amendment Passed to the Constitution. It was never ment for the Judiciary to have such Powers of Interpertation....since all 3 Branches of Government were to be equal and Check each other. The Power of Interpretation takes the Equal power away from the Executive and Legeslative and Gives it all to the Judiciary...that was never the intention.

Grace, I hear what you're saying, but, it's all in the context of the relationship.
I live my marriage in the context that I give my partner every reason to desire to stay with me and work in cooperation with me towards a common goal, all my work relationships are the same, all my personal relationships are the same and so it goes with every interaction with every aspect of my life. I live under this context:
I am 100% responsible for my outcomes in life, even those with others involved in all areas. I also live inside this context:
Without integrity nothing works.
Now even though it is good that I CHOOSE to live in these contexts, it is also so whether I would or not. The difference being that in choosing to be with it, I get power to make things happen in any situation, that will appear like a miracle or miracles to anyone paying attention.
It is better to choose to be with the ultimate reality that is so in your life than to fight it or try to live in a reality that is not so, under a context that does not serve or work for anyone.
Much easier to be present to the Lord and generate miracles in this mode.
That said, the people must assume the responsibility for losing the relationship with the institution, because that is not a function of an institution and I doubt the institution will have time to figure it out, the institution is in crisis management mode and has been for a long time. If the people assume 100% responsibility for it they will regain power or create a new power. By trying to get this Continental Congress idea off the ground and taking action

in alignment with the stated goals, you have begun this process without the language for it. That has happened before and without the language it fell apart. The language of your success is crucial to maintaining it.
The last piece is the leap of faith, that it will work out as intended as long as you keep moving in alignment with the goal. 100% commitment is required. Knowing what that looks like is not.

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
