T - I - G - E - R - S .....TIGERS!!! I LOVE THEM!
Have no fear it's not deadly and will not keep you from functioning your normal daily activities.
***I am a new member so I hope I am not asking a question that has already been asked. If so, ooops!! Charge it to my head not my heart***
I can't speak for everyone else right now, but I just can't let go. I want to see more of our Tiger's Energy.
Here's a thought:
Who do you think would win between our 08' Dream Team and our Grizzlies? We should have a game. Maybe the proceeds can go to a special fund or cause here in Memphis. They can add it to the MLGW FUND!!! Man, I wish I could live by candlelight!! (sigh)
It wouldn't be a competition but just for fun. A chance for our Grizzlies to know what it's like to be in a packed arena for a change. (No puns intended) Let's consider it motivation.
What are your thoughts?
P.S. Go ahead Kristin make us a poll!!!
VS.
2008 DREAM TEAM
I am so excited that all of our Tiger's have made it home safely. I was just as anxious on today as I was on yesterday waiting for the game.
I want the Tiger's to know that they are still winners. No need to hold your heads down and there is no to apologize for not bringing us home a trophy. (Mr. Rose) Memphis is so very proud of this team.
I am was born in Washington, DC and I later moved to Memphis and I have been here every sense. All the years that I have been in this city, I can honestly say that I am simply amazed. I have never seen so much love and support in Memphis.
That is an accomplishment all in its own. The Dream Team has come through and warmed the hearts of a whole lot of people here in Memphis.
On game day this past Saturday the atmosphere was AMAZING! I got up early that morning and I was dressed from head - to - toe in my newly crisp ironed Final Four Shirt. I traveled from one end of the city to the other that day and let me tell you Memphis. I WAS IN LOVE!!! I saw Royal Blue every where. I saw car flags, pom-poms, car magnets, license plate covers, windshield - praises, bumper stickers, a tricked out tiger's motorcyle, and much more.
The craziest thing I saw on my route to my mother's where I would prepare to watch yet another victory was a homeless guy. Here I am sitting at the light and to my amazement there stands a homeless man IN HIS FINAL FOUR T-SHIRT!!! Of, course he still had his sign. I just thought that was the coolest thing.
As far as that game on yesterday Tigers...
.... all I can say is this... I am and I hope to always be a do or die Tiger's Fan. I was not worried about the outcome of the game that was played yesterday evening. In my heart and as far as I was concerned. You gentleman had already won.
The 2008 Dream Team was already #1. The 2008 Dream Team had broke a record that year that NO college basketball team has EVER done. The 2008 Dream Team broke a record that college teams have not broken in years. Then the 2008 Dream Team broke a record that the team itself hadn't done in years.
So, this team was a winning team before that game ever started last night. Sure, the championship would have been icing on the cake. I take that back the decorations on the cake. We already had our icing. None of that matters to me because I am more proud of our 2008 Dream Team as well as Memphis Tennessee. This team made something magical happen in this city this year. I am so very that I was blessed to be a part of it. You all have a fan for life in me!!!
To Derrick Rose: Give Us One More Year Baby!!! Memphis would greatly appreciate it. (No pressure) :-)
To Chris Douglas - Roberts: You are an awesome Tiger starter. I hope that you stay as well. I can't wait to see how you plan to help lead this pack next year!! I'm already excited.
To MR. JOEY DORSEY: All I can say is WOW!!! I have watched you grow into a wonderful player over these past few years. So, what you are a little rough around the edges. *** Some People don't know of my term swaggalicious*** My cheek bones can finally get a rest now. Every game you played..every time I heard your name. I was smiling from ear to ear. MAN...I wish college had one more year. Just to keep you here. I know that may be a little selfish of me but hey I'm a fan! The best Rebound Man Around!!! You have brought us so many great memories!! I mean great!!! I like to call to call you the "Roy Jones Jr." of College Basketball. The two of you really know how to entertain the crowd while doing your job. Even if it means knocking someone out. LOL!
You have made me a fanatic and I love it!!! I appreciate you Rich. Memphis appreciates you. We thank you for the wonderful memories. I hope that Joey Dorsey and Memphis meet again. YOU WILL BE MISSED!!
JO - EY .... JO -EY..JO - EY!!!
For the rest of the team MEMPHIS LOVES YOU. WE THANK YOU AND WE APPRECIATE THE WONDERFUL YEAR AND THE MAGIC THAT YOU ALL HAVE SPRINKLED OVER THIS PLACE.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN NEXT YEAR....DERRICK!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
