A day after losing Derrick Rose to the NBA, the Memphis Tigers land the services of McDonalds All-American guard Tyreke Evans.
And the rich get richer. That sound you just heard was the rest of C-USA crying "MERCY".
Evans is a 6-6 guard who can play the point, but is probably better suited to be a shooting guard, and he's already NBA ready and most likely one and done at Memphis, just like Rose.
He's also buddies with 2 other Tiger recruits: Devin Ebanks, and Wesley Witherspoon-- and don't be surprised if they too will be wearing the Blue and Grey before it's all said and done.
Calipari obviously isn't into the whole "rebuilding" thing, he apparently only believes in Reloading.
This kinda takes the sting out of losing Rose (and possibly Chris-Douglas Roberts) doesn't it Tigers fans?
Even if CDR follows Rose to the NBA, you've got to feel pretty good about the talent that the Tigers have coming back-- coupled with the newcomers (Evans, Angel Garcia, Matt Simpkins). Plus the possibility of landing Ebanks and Witherspoon.
I know it's early- OK it's VERY early, in fact it's WAY too early to ask this- but I'll ask anyway. Tiger fans- what are your expectations for next season?

I love this job so much I'd do it for free, but thankfully I don't have to- because my kids gotta eat.
