You're 18 years old.   You're a 1 or 2 pick in the NBA Draft.   You're guaranteed to make millions.  YOU'RE GUARANTEED TO MAKE MILLIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Do you skip the rest of college and head to the NBA?  YES!   YES!  YES!

Derrick Rose has to go.   He cannot possibly risk coming back next year and getting injured.    No way, no how!    He goes this year and he is set for life.  He can take care of his family.  Heck, he can pay to go to college later if he wants!   I know he wanted to win an NCAA Championship but a trophy doesn't pay.   The NBA DOES pay!

Yup. He has to leave. College is over rated.

The millions provided for playing the same game, which requires the same work ethic, same practice, same dedication, changes things.

This shouldn't even be a difficult decision to make. Money talks. A wise man would seize the opportunity.

I think that it is okay if his mind is stable. I just would not want to hear when the players get the money and the contract there is a special clause.... the stupidity clause

@Pro_Se: 18 is 18. There is a certain amount of "stupidity" built into that age. This is a young man, and he may be level headed and a good kid, but he is still 18/19 years age. At that age, you are a threshhold adult. No matter how mature you are, or how much money you have, there is some "residual boyness" in you. . . but that is neither here nor there, Like everyone else, he'll grow into into his manhood. When them groupies & agents & fund managers & banks & fans & hanger-ons get through pulling on his ass, he'll wake up & grow up quick. Probably alot quicker than he wants to. I have friends in the league and I can tell you DRose is about to have himself some fun, but he also about to learn about the darkside of human nature, and see how money changes you and the people around you. After he gets picked up, the atmosphere, his atmosphere is going to get freaky-deeky. College celebrity is mild in comparison to the NBA type.

Yo Kristin, keep this post handy for next year, and be prepared to use it word for word, except where you have the words "Derrick Rose" insert the name "Tyreke Evans". Like Wagner, like Rose, this is another bruh who gonna be one & done. We better enjoy him while he is here, because I am sure he already has the names of 10 agents on speed dial.

I'm from Missouri, so naturally I cheer for the St. Louis Cardinals. I'm also a Mizzou fan but I went to college at Mississippi State. Yes, I bleed Maroon and White! I love sports and love my job as a sports anchor/reporter. My favorite two athletes of all-time are Michael Jordan and Flo-Jo. I also enjoy eating. I grew up on a beef farm, so I'm very picky about my red meat!
