There are Sports fans and than there our Sports junkies. I am certainly the latter. The world of sports always seems to slow down after the playing of "One Shining Moment", but for sports junkies it never takes a rest.
Last weekend brought us the Masters and several area Spring Football Games. More of those games will take place over the course of the next two weekends. Speaking of next weekend, the two day NFL Draft is on the docket. Than of course there's the NBA Playoffs, the NHL Playoffs, Major League Baseball and next month brings us the start of the Triple Crown Horse Racing Series.
Oh yea, I don't want to forget Nascar, which includes the Truck Race in Memphis, than the NHRA later this year. May will also bring us the NBA Draft Lottery which is vital to the Grizzlies, and for High Schools in the Volunteer State, it's the Spring Fling. June showcases the NBA Draft and the Stanford St. Jude Golf Classic.
The Summer Olympics are on the docket for August although things little a little dicey at this moment for the Stars and Stripes. NFL Camps get underway in July than it's College Football rolling out it's tackle dummies in August.
I can go on and on and on..........biking, running, boating, fishing....Redbirds games at Autozone Park...Boxing at the New Daisey and in Tunica.
The point is that the sports world may slow down for most normal fans, but for people who love it, live it, and make a living from it, it never does.

The sports world stops for me after March Madness, and starts again in August when football starts back up. With the exception of the NFL draft, nothing interests me until then. Baseball is BORING as is all the other so called sports. I will take a breather until August when my passion starts back again.

It's great to be a part of the Fox13 Sports Team and I'm looking forward to talking with you on my blog. In addition, don't forget to join me weekdays from 11-1 p.m. on Sports56 WHBQ Radio for the Middays show which I co-host with Eli Savoie.
