what does the yellow light mean ?

memphians, have you ever noticed that most of you do not know what the yellow light

 really mean ? as i was driving along beside another vehicle the light turn from

green to yellow, I slowed, and stopped, and the car right next to me continued on , and a few more cars sped by,

 I  thought to myself do they know what the yellow light  really mean ? so i ask someone,

and she said the red light means stop ! and the green light means  go ! and the yellow

light means for you to speed up because, the light is going to turn red soon !

I believe from what I have witnessed in Memphis, the Yellow Light means stomp on the gas and close your eyes.

Ha that's a good one Tom! LOL! I thought Memphians thought the yellow light ment press the pedal to the metal before it turns red.

I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU JUST SAID BECAUSE I HAVE ASK SEVERAL PEOPLE WHAT DOES THE YELLOW LIGHT MEAN, AND I GET SEVERAL DIFFERENT ANSWERS,
