They want him back as the Superintendent because when he was over Memphis City Schools, the ship was TIGHT. People can hate him as mayor, but he ran MCS better than all the people who came after him.

I understand a lot of people have wanted him out for a loooong time, but I'm sure there's a reason for that date being selected. Besides, there has been discussion of his resignation around the office for a minute now.

I don't see why he ran for mayor again when he could had let the others that were running have a chance at it, maybe he just did not want Carol to get it.

It may be SONNY...why run for any office if you not going to serve your term out?

For a man how cares so much about Memphis, why did he run for Mayor 5 months ago? Was it his ego? For a majority Mayor he always acted as a minority and blamed someone else for his failures. He could not even win the last election with 51% of the vote!!! If we thought the last schools administration was bad, he was in charge and was to blame (Willie was the Mayor).

Hope Memphis will hire someone qualified for the Schools and Mayor. In fact we should do what Major Companies do let him go, maybe this will bring respect to a disgraced city...

Hopefully once he is gone ( and NOT super for the schools) and gone for good then Memphis can turn around to the good. And isn't he still part of the investigation with the guy from MATA or something like that? Makes you go hummmmmm.

The new Mayor..it will talke a long time to get crime under control in Memphis. But it can be done..... What little that I heard of his speak last night on the news, sounded like to me he was the only one that could run the city schools. I think Memphis should take there time in replacing both the mayor and Superintendent.

Oh I guess you don't remember him getting slapped with a sexual harassment suit and filandering with staff. We don't need anothr imoral figure to represent us PERIOD. That is not a good example for my kids.
He could not keep up with all the stuff as mayor, why would the schols get better as he gets more inept via senility and egotism?
He ran because he was being tyold to quit because he was in fact bad for Memphis getting in new business from outside. Under his tenure Memphis became the worst drug infested, most violent, least likely to get a quality education, most likely to get killed in, place in America.
The place that made him one of the best mayors on earth emailed me about this whole thing. They are now comparing him to the other guy reading from the exact same script, Kwame of Detroit, second worst place to live on earth.
You have better odds as an American succeeding in IRAQ and you're less likely to be killed there.
